As I entered the book- store, I broke down and finally asked for help. Unity on Union has provided me with housing and a communityof recovery. There is no question that Unity on Union saved my life.
Unity on Union Bookstore is a refuge. Unity on Union offered me the physical safety and emotional support to leave a 17 year long unhealthy relationship. Throughout my sobriety, the bookstore and the people that it welcomes, continue to offer me kindness and comfort. It has become a space that I can call my own.
2420 East Union Street gave me my life back. There is magic at work in this small bookstore that now feels like home.
